Connect your microphone, USB audio interface, or any line-in device. SoundCast automatically detects every available input on Windows and lists them in a dropdown — just pick the one you want. Alternatively, switch to URL / Stream mode and paste any internet radio stream URL to relay it directly through your server.
Open the Server tab and enter your Icecast or SHOUTcast server address, port, mount point and password. SoundCast has a built-in Test Connection button so you can verify the connection before going live. Enable SSL with one toggle if your server uses HTTPS.
Head to the Encoder tab and pick your streaming format and bitrate. Free users get MP3 up to 64 kbps — perfect for voice and talk radio. Pro users can choose from MP3, AAC, AAC+, OGG, OPUS or FLAC at any bitrate up to 320 kbps for broadcast-quality audio.
Go to the Metadata tab and fill in your station name, genre, description and website. This information is sent to your server and appears to listeners in their media player — and in public stream directories if your stream is listed publicly.
Optional but powerful — the DSP tab gives you a 10-band equalizer to tune your audio to exactly the tone you want. Pro users also get a dynamic compressor to keep loudness consistent and prevent clipping, no matter what's playing.
Back on the Home tab, click the big cyan GO LIVE button. The ON AIR indicator lights up, listener counts start updating in real time, and your station is broadcasting live to the world. Update the Now Playing field at any time to push the current track title to your listeners.
